To mark North Bay’s 100th anniversary, the North Bay Municipal Heritage Committee (NBMHC) invites photographers of all ages to enter its 2025 contest, Through the Lens of Time: Celebrating 100 Years of Design.
This year’s theme highlights the connection between architecture and the natural elements of air, water, and land — key elements also represented in the City’s Centennial logo.

Participants are encouraged to capture how design and nature come together to shape North Bay’s built environment. From historic landmarks that have stood the test of time to modern, sustainable designs, the contest is an opportunity to explore the relationship between human-made structures and the natural world.
The contest includes two age categories: youth (17 and under in 2025) and adult (18 and older in 2025). The deadline for submissions is Oct. 14, 2025.
Thanks to the continued sponsorship from the North Bay Society of Architects, winners will receive cash prizes. The first-place winner in each age category will receive $400, while second-place winners will receive $150.
Winning photographs will also be featured on the City of North Bay's website and social media platforms. Tourism North Bay will also share submissions through its social platforms and may use them for future marketing of the City, with proper credit provided.
