Some tremendous patient care led to a donation to the North Bay Hospital Foundation and recognition for a handful of hospital workers from the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Golden Heart Awards were presented to Raymond Gauthier, RN, Andrea Towle, RPN, and Bryce Cherry, RN, on Inpatient Surgery for the impact they had on a patient and family experience.
Cristine was admitted to the North Bay Regional Health Centre on December 30, 2021 and remained in hospital care until January 10, 2022.
"The care I experienced was phenomenal and truly made my stay at the hospital bearable," recalls Cristine.
"The nurses were so kind, compassionate, and very patient. Their care was that of angels and they truly are my heroes. From having to deal with unhooking me from the NG canister countless times to making me tea, giving me popsicles, and helping me in any way they could, I will never forget. Each and everyone deserves recognition. I can never thank everyone enough and my heart is truly grateful for everything that was done for me. I wish I could hug everyone.”
These exceptional staff went above and beyond for a patient and their family at North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC), inspiring a Grateful Family donation to the Foundation.
Golden Heart Awards are provided when a Grateful Family donation to the NBRHC honours specific individuals within the hospital.
