It's a motorist's nightmare...a head on collision.
OPP say it could have happened twice in the North Bay area this week.
On April 14, at 2:35 a.m. OPP saw a vehicle travelling the wrong way on Algonquin Avenue. The vehicle crossed a cement barrier and then entered a parking lot.
The vehicle was stopped and the male driver Trent Couroux, 25, from North Bay was charged with:
- Drive while ability impaired
- Drive over 80
- Possession of a schedule II substance - Cannabis Marijuana
- Possession of a schedule II substance - other drug
Couroux is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on May 2.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, at 4:44 p.m. OPP were called about a vehicle travelling northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 11 at Highway 654.
The vehicle and driver were found at a home in Callander.
Victor LeBoeuf, 66, of Callander was charged with:
- Drive while ability impaired
- Care or control over 80
