The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) has announced the appointment of Michel Pagé as Superintendent of Education.
"Pagé has been a committed educator for the francophone population of Nipissing since 1996 and has been an active contributor to the academic and community environment in our region," says a news release.
"Over the years, Mr. Pagé has always encouraged the development and growth of his students and colleagues," adds the release. "He is also recognized as a key figure in the building of the Nipissing francophone community through his involvement with the cultural centre Les Compagnons des francs-loisirs and groups such as APCM, Réseau Ontario, and AFO. It is through this community involvement that he continues to ensure an important place for francophones in our community so that they have a place to call their own."
CSPNE’s Chair, Denis Labelle, confirms that this decision is in line with the vision of the trustees for the future.
"We are confident that the arrival of Mr. Pagé will support the success and well-being initiatives and projects that promote the growth of the CSPNE while keeping the student at the heart of all its decisions throughout our territory."
Pagé will assume his duties on January 31, 2022. His arrival comes following an administrative need for internal restructuring whereby Natalie Joncas-Raymond will now assume the superintendency of the business sector while Pagé will oversee the Board’s educational and school-related issues.
