The City of North Bay says the reconstruction of the overpass bridge it progressing very well.

The concrete deck has been removed and the new reinforcing bars are being placed.

“We are expecting the concrete deck to be poured within the next couple weeks,” the City of North Bay stated on Monday on their Facebook page.

“All water proofing, paving, lighting and guard rails on the west side are scheduled to be completed by 24th of May.”

That means the city expects to transition traffic from the east side to the west side lane by the end of May.  At that point, the city will begin construction on the east side lanes.

“Overall, the project is within budget and on schedule to be completed by October,” the city stated.

“We thank the public for their patience during this project.”
