Organized Crime Unit involved in drug trafficking arrest

The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau arrested a man for trafficking drugs in a parking lot on Highway 17 in Sturgeon Falls this past Monday evening.

A search resulted in the seizure of a prohibited weapon, cellphone, and drugs suspected to be: green, blue and purple Fentanyl.

The value of the drugs seized is believed to be approximately $18,000.

Patrick Nadeau, 24, from West Nipissing was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon, brass knuckles

Nadeau was held in custody for bail court and was later released on March 16 but is scheduled to return to the Ontario Court of Justice in West Nipissing on May 6.
