Ongoing illegal drug investigation results in four arrests

Officers from the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged two males and two females with drug trafficking offences, and seized drugs and Canadian currency

On January 11, North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit officers, along with members of the Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on a Karla Street residence.  

Upon entry to the residence, several individuals were taken into custody, concerning an ongoing illegal drug investigation.  As a result of the investigation, four people were charged with drug-trafficking offences, and were released on an undertaking to appear in court on a later date.

In total, subsequent searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • 102.7 grams of cocaine
  • 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine
  • 1 gram of Fentanyl  
  • $1,225 in cash

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $10,500.

Albert Blais 41, male, Amanda Larue, 27, female, and Raphael Duschesne, 39, male, all of North Bay, are each charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

 

Sarah Carriere, female, age 37, of Bonfield, is charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
