The Board is proud to announce that five of its students have received a “Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top” Scholarship.

The “Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top” Scholarship is an Ontario government program designed to reward secondary school students who graduate with top marks and plan to continue their studies at an approved Ontario postsecondary institution. Students who maintain an average of at least 80% in their postsecondary studies can receive a maximum scholarship of $3,500 a year, for a maximum of four years.

Here are the recipients of “Queen Elizabeth II Aiming for the Top” Scholarship for the 2007-2008 school year:

Natalie Briand from École publique Renaissance in Timmins

Philippe Pelletier from École publique Renaissance in Timmins

Nadia Corriveau from École secondaire publique Northern in Sturgeon Falls

Sophie-Michelle Labbé from École secondaire publique Northern in Sturgeon Falls

Gabrielle Boissonneault from École publique Odyssée in North Bay

The Board congratulates the scholarship recipients for their achievements. Michel L. Robineau, Director of Education, declared “We are extremely proud to count among our graduates, students whose academic excellence is recognized throughout Ontario.”
