Northern Ontario bronze

Jeff Buttle, of Smooth Rock Falls, Ont., has won the first Olympic men's skating medal since Elvis Stojko. Buttle finished third to capture the bronze following the men's long program this evening at the Turin Olympics.

Buttle finished third to capture the bronze following the men's long program this evening at the Turin Olympics.

Evgeni Plushenko, of Russia, captured the gold.

Canada has won four medals today, increasing its total to eight: one gold, three silver and four bronze.

Stojko won a silver medal at the 1998 Nagano Olympics.
