Northern Lights Festival Boréal, a music and arts festival that takes place in Sudbury has been cancelled for this year.

The organization made the decision to cancel its festival scheduled for July 9-12 due to the COVID-19 crisis.

For those who have purchased advance tickets, NLFB is offering three options:

  • converting the ticket purchase into a charitable donation. NLFB is a registered charity and will issue a receipt for 100 per cent of the value.
  • rolling over the ticket to the 2021 edition scheduled for July 8-11. Patrons will simply be given access to this edition instead.
  • a full refund, which can be processed through the NLFB office.

In a news release, the festival organizers say they will make efforts to present many of the artists originally scheduled for the 2020 edition at the 2021 edition, including American folk icon Judy Collins. Her performance is now scheduled to perform July 11, 2021 in Sudbury's Bell Park.

Northern Lights Festival Boreal is a non-profit, charitable music presenter in northern Ontario.
