North Bay Pride will be running in a number of local events from July 7 to 21.
North Bay Pride promotes equality for all, through celebration and community education.
Organizers believe Pride has never been more important to promote equality and acceptance for all.
Highlights include a flag raising on July 17 at City Hall, a March/Walk from city hall on July 20, and a Courtesy Walk Painting in downtown North Bay on July 7 to name a few.
“As the 2SLGBTQ+ community strives for acceptance for all, it is also important to remember to celebrate our accomplishments too," stated Nick George, Co-Chair of the North Bay Pride planning committee.
"This is the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall Riots, it’s important for all of us to continue to stand for equality but remember where we are because of courageous people that stood and said 'no more!'”
