North Bay area pot smokers will still need to drive out of town or use Canada Post for a while to get their supply.
But the operator of the North Bay outlet, Lorne Fine, tells BayToday that the opening of his store is "still a go."
"We're in the process of finalizing an agreement. Hopefully, we will open in a few months," he said on Tuesday.

Fine, a Toronto divorce lawyer, won the North Bay lottery and says he will operate out of the former Bay Bistro restaurant location in the Nipissing Plaza on Lakeshore Drive.
Some stores from the lottery expected to open in October, as they are ready, but Fine says he's still working on details.
The cannabis retail store lottery draw was held in August and provided those who met pre-qualification requirements for one of the 42 new store authorizations announced on July 3, an opportunity to be selected to apply for one.
Almost 5,000 eligible expressions of interest were included in the lottery draw, which was overseen by a third-party fairness monitor.
