North Bay police say a local man is dead after a snowmobile accident late last night on a bush trail in an area near Northmount Road.
Police say the accident occurred around 1 a.m. this morning after the driver lost control on a corner and left the trail and hit the bush.
A 57-year-old man from North Bay has been pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
The man's name has not yet been released.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of a Technical Traffic Collision Investigator of the Ontario Provincial Police.
