No firm date yet, but the North Bay library will be offering curbside service soon according to a news release.
"The provincial government recently announced an easing of some restrictions, allowing for a phased approach to a resumption of business operations and libraries were given the approval to provide curbside service," says the release.
“There are still lots of rules about what we can and can not do” said Ravil Veli, Library CEO. “Our staff is currently figuring out the details. Our number one priority remains the safety of our staff and members of the public.”
Libraries will be allowed to provide curbside services when all the necessary protective measures are in place.
Other area libraries are already providing the service or plan to soon.

More details will follow, but this essentially means, pick up and drop off of materials outside the building only.
“Access to the building will still be denied, until otherwise permitted by the government”, said Veli. “We appreciate the opportunity to resume serving the public and look forward to engaging with our valued patrons and friends in the community.”
