No threat to public safety after death in French River

The Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP is investigating a death in French River but say there is no threat to the public.

On April 30 at 7 a.m., Nipissing West OPP, Manitoulin-Sudbury Paramedic Services, and the French River Fire Department were called to a house on Delamere Road where a 44-year-old-person was found dead.

The Nipissing West OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is conducting an investigation, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

The investigation is continuing, and further updates will be provided when available say police. There is no threat to public safety at this time and residents of the area should expect to see an increased police presence.
