Al Carfagnini, Executive Director of Student Affairs released the following official statement.

Nipissing University is deeply saddened by the tragic death of two of our students, killed in a car accident on Saturday, November 24.
The university community sends its sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of the two students.
To all of our current students and faculty and staff, the university recognizes that many of you will be grieving the loss of two students from our close-knit community and we are deeply sympathetic.
