UPDATED: New pics (New timetable for Highway 522: still closed, but watch this neat drone video of the washout)

As of Sunday, over 7,000 tonnes of aggregates had been placed.

The Ministry of Transportation is working to repair Highway 522 and hopes to reopen the route by later this week.

Gordan Rennie, MTO Media Advisor told BayToday, "As of Sunday, over 7,000 tonnes of aggregates had been placed, but much work remains.

"‎In the meantime, we were able to repair and reopen  Commanda Lake Road as a 'local traffic only' detour. ‎ The road is posted for reduced loads, so commercial traffic should take Highway 17 or 124 to Highway 69 and access the affected communities from the west."
