One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre will have a new executive director effective May 1.
"After a rigorous and competitive executive search, I am pleased to say that Mr. Denis Filiatrault was selected because of his proven leadership ability, his vast knowledge about both One Kids Place and the broader children’s services sector and most importantly, his commitment to continuing to provide great service to the children, youth and families we serve throughout our communities,” said Bill Riley, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
"The Board remains focused on the future and is confident that Mr. Filiatrault is the right leader to help guide the exciting future ahead for One Kids Place.”
Filiatrault joined One Kids Place in 2005 and is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources / Corporate Services.
A news release says he was instrumental throughout the consultation, design and building of the new Children’s Treatment Centre in North Bay and has been providing senior leadership within the organization since joining the team.
“I am humbled to have been chosen as the new Executive Director for One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre,” said Filiatrault. “I follow in tremendous footsteps and the very skillful leadership of Judy Sharpe, who I have been fortunate to have as a mentor for the past several years. I know, as I step into this new role, it is because of the amazing work that our entire team does every single day, together with our steadfast commitment to our cornerstone, which reads, For Our Kids that the future of One Kids Place remains strong.”
Riley added the Board of Directors appreciation to the Interim Executive Director. “I would like to thank our Director of Clinical Services, Adele Kirby, who is acting as the Interim Executive Director while the Board completed the executive search. Ms. Kirby’s leadership was seamless and the Board of Directors is truly appreciative of her tireless commitment to ensuring that the children and youth with special needs in our communities receive the services they require.”
