NBPS: Traffic stop leads to arrest of 5 for drug trafficking

Police seized approximately 500 tablets of suspected methamphetamine, 18 grams of suspected cocaine,14 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, an Infiniti car and a quantity of Canadian currency

The North Bay Police Service arrested and charged two males and three females with drug trafficking offences and seized over $5,700 worth of illegal drugs.

On November 19, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m., a member of the North Bay Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which the accused were travelling. A search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of suspected cocaine. At this time, the accused were placed under arrest.

In total, searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • Approximately 500 tablets of suspected methamphetamine
  • Approximately 18 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Approximately 14 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • An Infiniti car (as offences-related property)
  • A quantity of Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $5,760

The accused in this matter are:

Lundey Layne Galick, female, age 27, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • One count of fail to comply with probation order

Michel Anthony Gervais, male, age 34, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of possession of a forged document with intent

Dilon Nicholas Johnson, male, age 30, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Dallas Snow, female, age 31, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • One count of failure to comply with undertaking
  • One count of obstruct peace officer
  • One count of personation with intent (identity fraud)

Yvonne Wood, female, age 69, of North Bay, who is charged with:

  • Three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Accused Galick, Gervais, Johnson, and Snow were held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse. Accused Wood was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear before the court on January 2, 2024.
