NBPS reports shooting early Saturday: one victim sent to hospital

The condition and extent of the victim's injuries are unknown as the North Bay Police Service sent a tweet regarding a shooting early Saturday.

Just after midnight, as the calendar flipped to May, NBPS confirmed one person is in custody in relation to the incident which, police would only say, took place in the south end of North Bay.

NBPS personnel are at the scene of the shooting and maintain there is "no known public safety risk."
