Police say Abraham Kamerman, age 45, of North Bay is the victim of last night's murder.
He was born on May 15th, 1973 in Oshawa, and grew up in the Parry Sound area.
"Police are confirming that the shooting took place in the Pinewood area of North Bay at a residence on Beattie Street," says Cst.John Schultz "There will be an increased police presence in that area as the investigation continues.
"At this time interviews have been conducted and police continue to canvas the area for more information. The North Bay Forensic Identification Unit is back on scene now that we are in daylight hours."
Police are looking to identify a blue four-door compact Chevrolet car seen leaving the area with two men inside.
The first man is described as:
- about 5’10
- with a slender build,
- wearing a light coloured sweater and
- a dark mask or toque.
The second man is described as:
- medium in height
- with a slender build,
- wearing dark clothing.

Sources tell BayToday that the weapon is a shotgun and the victim was shot three times.
it's not the first time that house has seen violence.

In December of 2013, two males wearing bandanas over their face entered the Beattie St residence where they stabbed two other male victims multiple times.
When the attackers fled the residence they encountered two more males, whom they also stabbed.
The suspects then fled the area but were arrested a short time later. Two young offenders were charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, forcible entry, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, and four counts of aggravated assault.
