Saturday, July 1 marks Canada's 156th birthday and the City of North Bay is planning a full day and evening of family-friendly events and entertainment at the waterfront.
The Kiwanis Bandshell will be home to live music acts from 12:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., followed by the fireworks display.

The Canada Day festivities will officially kick off at noon at the Kiwanis Bandshell with opening ceremonies and the singing of O Canada.
The afternoon's agenda of events include the Canada Day Kid Zone, free admission to the North Bay Museum, and interactive reptile shows. The Heritage Railway and Carousel will be operating. Food vendors will be set up during the event.

The North Bay Canada Day Committee will once again hold its school-wide poster challenge. The theme for the 14th annual Canada Day Poster Challenge is "Canada Pride."
