A fire at the Franklin Motel at 444 Lakeshore Dr. around 10 this morning has closed the busy roadway, however, detours are available.
All three fire stations responded while police closed off Lakeshore. The street is expected to remain closed until early afternoon.
"North Bay Fire asks that people avoid driving down that area of Lakeshore Drive while we are battling this fire," says Deputy Fire Chief Greg Saunders.
