Some residents of a home along Peninsula Road off Trout Lake had some surprising guests on Wednesday morning as, much to their surprise, they saw two moose make their way from the lake, through their yard and down the driveway to the road.
"We are accustomed to seeing plenty of deer but not moose," said Mary Duquette about the unusual sighting.
Duquette adds they also had another unusual nature sighting on the weekend.
"As well this week, we have heard an owl for many nights and found it in a tree outside a window on Sunday night."
