Jaimee Bull began her 2018 Waterski season with a couple of good results in two recent Florida tournaments.

Jaimee has been training since March 22 at Jack Travers Ski School near Orlando, Florida.

Bull, who was named the 2017 Junior Water Ski Athlete of the Year, has moved out of the Junior Women's Category and is now competing in the Open Women Division in all tournaments this spring.

In her first tournament at Sunset Lakes, she completed the 11.25 m (38 off) line scoring 1/2 a buoy @ 10.75 m (39.5 off) both rounds finishing second to Whitney McClintock.

Last weekend, she competed in the Isles of Lake Hancock Invitational Tournament where she tied her personal best scoring 3 buoys @ 10.75 m.

This placed her third behind the current World Champion Regina Jaquess, who won the tournament and former World Champion Whitney McClintock who finished second.

Jaimee's upcoming tournaments include the Swiss Pro Tournament in Clermont, Florida and the US Masters Tournament at Callaway Gardens, Georgia.

It will be Jaimee's first time competing in the Pro Division at the US Masters, as only the top 7 Slalom Skiers on the World Elite list are invited to this tournament. Jaimee qualified in 7th spot.

Closer to home, Jaimee is also the recipient of the Jack Burrow Memorial Award given to her by the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame.

Bull will be presented with her award at the 38th Annual Induction and Awards Dinner on Saturday, May 5th at the Best Western.
