OPP report a big drug bust and weapon seizure in Kirkland Lake earlier this week.
On July 16, shortly after 7:30 p.m, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 112 in Pacaud Township. As a result, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of drugs.
The OPP Northeast Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the North Bay Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and the Kirkland Lake/South Porcupine Criminal Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Tweedsmuir Road in Kirkland Lake.
Police seized cocaine and methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a loaded handgun. The total estimated street value of the seizure was $130,000.
Emily Crawford, 31, of Kirkland Lake, is charged with:
- Two counts of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
Tyler Godin-Blake, 30, of Kirkland Lake, is charged with:
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
Both were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
