Powassan and District Union Public Library will host its 4th annual fund-raising golf tournament on Friday, August 5 to raise money for the upcoming Expansion Project in 2017.

The event will be a four person team 18-hole scramble held at Highview Golf Course. Golf carts and dinner are provided for each golfer for $80.

Register individually or as a team to ensure a spot in this fun filled day. Vic Fedeli will be starting the day with the Opening Tee-Off at 1 p.m.

This annual golf tournament is part of Powassan Library's campaign to raise funds to support the needs of the communities that the Library serves. Golfers will truly be 'Playing FORE Change' this year leading into expansion plans that the Library's Property Building Committee have developed.

“The Powassan Library is a hub within the community and there is a clear need for more space with triple bookings within the space in a single day,” Project Administration Intern, Chelsie Legree, said. “We are heading into an exciting time and want to thank all the businesses for their generosity. With this support we are able to make a significant difference in engaging the community.”

The Powassan and District Union Public Library currently serves over 1,500 patrons, retains over 24,000 volumes, provides computer technology, internet and social media access, and delivers a large variety of programs for all ages.
