The mild weather has caused an early end to the snowmobile season and now has done the same to the ski season in North Bay.

On Wednesday, Laurentian Ski Hill announced it is closing for the season.

"It is with sadness that we announce today as our last day of the season," Laurentian Ski Hill stated on social media.

"In appreciation of all the support we have received from everyone, we would like to thank those who made this season so successful."

Ski hill officials say they are already looking forward to the next season where they have some big plans ahead.

"All camps will continue to run for the remainder of the week," they continued.

"The beginner hill will be available, and there will be a variety of outdoor games and activities."
