Laurentian Ski Hill successfully opened for the season this past Saturday to the delight of the ski and snowboarding community.
"Our guests have enjoyed perfect corduroy thanks to our grooming staff over the past couple of days and hot chocolate was flowing from our café as the temperatures were on the cold side," said Executive Director Duncan Cornthwaite.
"Currently the beginner hill is in great shape and our team is working hard to open new terrain as quickly as possible. We will experience a warm spell just after Christmas but we have planned for that and we will be ready to get back to work as soon as the temperatures return to winter norms."
The hill is open until 4 p.m. today, closed Christmas day but will reopen Boxing Day 9-4 for the rest of the Christmas holidays. On New Year’s Day, it will be open from noon till 4.
If you are looking to book a private lesson over the holiday, join a group lesson, or sign up for other activities the Guest Services desk will be open, as well as answer any questions you have by calling 705 494-7463 or stop in at the lodge at the top of the hill meet the team.
