North Bay police say an arrest yesterday yielded the largest seizure of methamphetamine in their history.
They also charged a 23-year old North Bay man with drug trafficking.
On November 17, Street Crime Unit officers went to a house on Harris Drive to arrest a man on an outstanding warrant. Detectives saw the suspect flee out the rear door but caught and arrested him.
A search by police resulted in the seizure of 615 grams of crystal methamphetamine and $1,505 in cash.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs is approximately $61,540, the largest seizure of methamphetamine ever conducted by the North Bay Police Service.
Zeke Albert is charged with:
- Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Two counts of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
Albert is being held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
