What Cogeco is calling "a big outage right now" has no end in sight admits a company spokesperson, adding "a lot of people are affected."
Cable and internet subscribers have been without service since about 1:30 this morning.
"We have no timeframe for it to be resolved, hopefully, it is up soon," a spokesperson from the technical department told BayToday.
"The issue is at the main hub for your area, there are hydro components that are still affected by the hydro outage, so basically we are waiting for hydro to fix the affected components at the main hub, We have no time frame."
The North Bay Hydro outage map shows no disruption at this time.
Hydro One's outage map also does not indicate any problems in our area.
The Cogego outage page shows a resumption time of 2:14 this afternoon, however, that time has been moved back several times.
"There’s currently an outage in your area, so you might notice some issues with your services. We’re working hard to get your services back. Thanks for your patience," says the company web page.
