Lakers varsity soccer teams earn away draws

Women's Soccer

The Nipissing Lakers women’s soccer team earned a 1-1 draw Friday on the road against the Queen’s Gaels. Avery Cafaro had the Nipissing goal. The Lakers are back in action Saturday against RMC. 

Men's Soccer

The Nipissing Lakers men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with the Queen’s Gaels Friday on the road. Gabe Pastore made five saves in the net for Nipissing. The Lakers are back in action Saturday afternoon against RMC. 

Lacrosse

Despite a strong effort, the Nipissing Lakers lacrosse team came up short, losing 10-7 to the Trent Excalibur Friday night in North Bay. 

Zach Tarr and Carter Tait each scored twice, while Jesse Ashkewe, Connor Nevin and Kaleb Fulkerson all added singles for the Lakers.  

Nipissing is back on the field Sunday when they host the McGill Redbirds. Game time is noon on Nipissing Field.
