Nominations are now being accepted for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards with a deadline for nominations of Friday, November 15.

The June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism deadline for nominations is Friday, December 15.

“As the deadline is fast approaching, our government is seeking nominations for the Volunteer Service Awards to recognize volunteers in our community for one or more of our volunteer recognition programs,” said MPP Vic Fedeli. “Recognizing volunteers for their selfless efforts formally acknowledges their essential role in addressing needs, building trust, and creating stronger communities across Ontario.”

Ontario Volunteer Service Awards

Organizations can nominate their volunteers for an Ontario Volunteer Service Award to recognize their continuous service ranging from five to 65 years. Youth (under 24 years old) can be recognized for two or more years of continuous service.

Individuals and groups are recognized for outstanding commitment to volunteering and service to their community June Callwood Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism.

June Callwood was a Canadian journalist, author and social activist. She committed her life to action on social justice issues, particularly those related to woman and children. She founded, or co-founded, more than 50 Canadian social action organizations
