Dr. Rod Johnston has purchased the North Bay Hydro building.
Mayor Vic Fedeli confirmed Johston had bought the Fisher Street structure.
Fedeli said the city was planning on holding a news conference about the sale next week, but about it slipped out earlier.
The asking price for the building was $1.2 million.
