It has been a few months since the film crews from the TV series Carter left North Bay well before the snow arrived.
But what is abundantly clear, is that North Bay will not soon forget “The Summer of Jerry,” in the city of North Bay.
Jerry O’Connell, one of the co-stars in the TV series Carter became the talk of the town while he was living and working in a city he referred to as “Nord Bay.”
The New York native, who now lives in LA, could be found everywhere stopping to take selfies with anyone and everyone who asked.
But the smile on his face in many of those selfies was not fake, he truly enjoyed living and working in the Gateway City.
But it was not just taking photos and praising the city that helped create his popularity here, he also was involved in numerous events when he was on his off the Carter set.
He got involved in a celebrity wrestling event, he took part in charity events like the Juvenile Diabetes Walk, and even did the ceremonial face-off and helped sing the National Anthem at the North Bay Battalion home opener.

“There are a thousand things to do here, going to town, and the amazing restaurants, like the Crown and Beaver or the Station.” said the LA actor while filming at Amelia Park back in August.
“You can always find me at the Fraser Thursday nights for karaoke, or the Voyageur Friday nights, that’s our spot now.”
North Bay truly became his spot too. The city even recognized the TV Star by giving him the key to the city along with a framed parking ticket he received.

“It is just such a special place, it is an honour to get this, it is an honour to be part of early on in the film industry here, there is going to be nothing but great things,” said O’Connell back in September.
“Soon you guys are going to be complaining that there is too much filming here that is how easy and fun and friendly and great it is to film here.”
Now North Bay eagerly awaits the premiere of the TV series which has not been announced yet, and even better many North Bayites hope to see Jerry back in the summer of 2018 in hopes that a season 2 will bring Jerry back to “Nord Bay” once again.
