The Front St. LCBO in Sturgeon Falls is proving an attractive target to people looking to restock their liquor cabinets in time for Christmas.
On November 12, at 1:55 p.m., Nipissing West OPP officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at that store in Sturgeon Falls.
After reviewing video surveillance footage, the investigation revealed the thief hid several bottles of liquor and left the store without paying. The person was identified by officers but could not be located.
Then on November 17 at 11:50 a.m., officers responded to another shoplifting complaint at the same LCBO store.
Investigation revealed the thief stole approximately $125 worth of liquor and was identified by officers as the same person who committed the previous theft.
Officers arrested the suspect a short distance away.
Haedyn Fry, 20, from Sturgeon Falls, is charged with two counts of shoplifting.
Fry was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on December 3 in Sturgeon Falls.
