North Bay's Ryan Hunter has found a new NFL home.

Hunter, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday and he inked a practice squad contract.

"Ready to get to work," Hunter stated on social media late Thursday night.

The 25-year-old spent two seasons in Kansas City and won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs last February. He was released by the team following training camp in September and only a few days after he received his Super Bowl ring.

The Algonquin alum bounced back and forth last season between the active and practice roster with KC before permanently joining the active squad for the playoffs in early January. He did not get into any playoff game action.

The undrafted free agent got into three games early in the season and played about 14 snaps in the team's early-season loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It was shortly after that game that Hunter was sent back to the Chiefs practice roster.

Hunter signed with the Chiefs in February of 2019 after spending the entire season on the practice roster with them.

The Toronto Argonauts selected Hunter in the first round of the 2018 CFL draft.

According to ThirddownNation.com, Hunter has earned over $370,000 playing in the NFL and brings some experience to a Chargers line looking to better protect 2020 first-round draft pick, quarterback Justin Herbert.
