Ontario 511 is reporting that Highway 17B is completely closed at the Duschenay Creek Bridge for resurfacing / bridge replacement / bridge removal.
All lanes are closed from about 7 p.m. until further notice.
Motorists should detour via Highway 17.
The Duchesnay Creek Bridge will be replaced this year.
"The Ministry of Transportation wishes to advise that Highway 17B at the Duchesnay Creek Bridge crossing, located 0.8 km east of Highway 17 will be closed at 7:00 pm January 29, 2019.
"Public safety is the ministry’s top priority. To ensure the safety of the travelling public, the Duchesnay Creek Bridge will be closed until further notice. The bridge is scheduled to be replaced this year. A short detour is available via Highway 17."

Lavase River/CPR overhead, CNR overhead bridge south of North Bay will also undergo work but no timetable has been announced.
