UPDATE: The OPP report the highway re-opened around 9:15 p.m.

The OPP is reporting that Highway 17 between Highway 94 at Corbeil and Highway 531 near Bonfield is closed due to an accident.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m.
At 8 p.m., the OPP is calling the incident a "fatal motor vehicle collision."
One witness told BayToday that two vehicles were involved in the accident.
"The vehicle was off on the side of the road with the rear end completely messed up, back window gone and the back bumper was on the other side of the road," one witness told BayToday.
The OPP indicate that a re-opening is unknown at this time.
