Highway 11/17 closed at ONR railway crossing Tuesday night

Detours are in place as Highway 11/17 will be fully closed to traffic at the railway crossing between Fisher Street and Seymour Street until Wednesday morning

The Ministry of Transportation is advising members of the public of a planned overnight traffic disruption on the Highway 11/17 bypass.

Highway 11/17 at the Ontario Northland Rail crossing 350 metres northwest of Seymour Street will be closed from 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 until 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 for repair work to the ONR crossing.

Highway 11/17 will be fully closed to traffic at the railway crossing.

The following detours will be available during this time:

  • Northbound traffic to detour from Highway 11/17 via Seymour Street to Wallace Road to Mountainview Drive (will reopen for detour) to Trout Lake Road 
  • Southbound traffic to detour via Fisher Street to Laurier Avenue to Franklin Street to Seymour Street to Highway 11/17
