Hydro One is reporting a number of customers in the Nipissing area are without power after that thunderstorm last evening.
High winds within the area prompted reports of trees down on Hydro One equipment resulting in broken poles and lines down.
Crews have been brought in from surrounding areas to assist in power restoration.
The utility says the majority of customers will have power restored by 2 p.m. today and all should be done by 5 p.m.
Hydro One estimates 1,158 customers were affected.
Mattawa had 63 customers without power. Those should be fixed by noon.
North Bay Hydro says its system only received a brief "bump" at the start of the storm but no damage.
