Area lakes will continue to be popular spots as a heat warning continues today.
The heat event continues into Saturday.
A hot and humid airmass is over northern Ontario creating maximum daytime temperatures of 29 to 31 degrees. Humidex values will reach 36 to 38.
Overnight minimum temperatures will be 17 to 19 degrees with a cooler airmass arriving by Saturday night.
Heat Warning in effect for:
- North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
- West Nipissing - French River
- Sudbury
- Temiskaming Shores - Temagami
