This Saturday, you are encouraged to place any unwanted but still usable goods curbside.

Goods Exchange Day is Saturday, Sept. 23. You can place items out after 8 a.m. but be sure to remove any leftover items before 6 p.m.

You can do your part to reduce, reuse, and recycle by putting out or by picking up stuff as part of the City of North Bay’s Goods Exchange Day.

You are encouraged to place any unwanted but still usable goods curbside. Instead of throwing away unwanted household items, give them away by placing them at the curbside or at the end of your driveway. Items can include usable furniture, clothing, books, tools, sporting goods, and toys.

The city-wide free yard sale helps protect the environment in two ways: it cuts down on garbage that would otherwise end up in the City’s landfill, and re-using items saves energy and the environmental impact of producing new items.

A reminder, there will be no special pick-up of any items left curbside.
