********************
I wish to announce my intention to run for the position of Mayor of Callander in the upcoming November 13th election.
As many of you are aware, I was the Mayor in Callander for 3 years from 2000 through 2003. I have had the privilege of serving Callander on a number of committees since then and have supported and participated in all Community events that make Callander such a great place to live.
It was a privilege to be your Mayor, a time when we changed the name of our Community to the Municipality of Callander from the Township of North Himsworth, created a Strategic Plan that provided the Community direction, worked through the development of a number of plans of subdivision and made Callander a great place to live and play.
My plan of action includes the revival of our Strategic Plan, the template for growth in our Community. Follow the plan. Open and honest communication with all committees of Council and the public. Effective and efficient administration to serve the needs of all who live here. Work harder at our relationships with other Municipalities and other levels of government. Being fiscally responsible is a priority.
There are always hard questions and issues to deal with. I am aware of the issues at hand and I assure you that I will not shy away from dealing with any and all of them straight on!
I am asking for your assistance and support and on November 13th,
