Freezing rain is expected to affect the following regions this evening.
- North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
- West Nipissing - French River
- Greater Sudbury and vicinity
- South River - Burk's Falls
Freezing rain will come to an end later this evening, with patchy drizzle or freezing drizzle expected in its wake.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
There is also a rainfall warning in effect for:
- Bracebridge - Gravenhurst
- Huntsville - Baysville
- Port Carling - Port Severn
- Town of Parry Sound - Rosseau - Killbear Park
Rain, heavy at times, will continue tonight.
Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 40 mm are possible by Thursday morning.
The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks.
