Tourism operators and agencies are saddened to hear today that 57-year-old former Nipissing Township Reeve Ted Day is one of three people killed in a three-vehicle collision on Trans-Canada Highway 17 east of Dryden.
Few details are available about the collision, however, OPP say an eastbound car crossed into the westbound lane and struck two vehicles at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Day was also known as the long-time executive director of the Almaguin Nipissing Travel Association (ANTA).
Day's wife Donna remains in hospital with serious injuries but is in stable condition.
Two people killed in the eastbound car were an elderly couple from Winnipeg.
