BayToday was on the scene of a house fire at 75 Joseph St. in the West Ferris section of the city on Monday evening.
The call came into Fire Station Three just before 7:45 p.m. Pictures appear to show the fire started in the garage section of the home and a truck in the driveway was heavily damaged.
There were no injuries reported.
North Bay Fire and Emergency Services reports having responded to a fully involved fire. By 9 p.m., the fire was still active in what remained of the roof of the back-split home, fanned by a steady wind. The house is almost certainly a total loss judging by the damage visible from the street. Fire crews doused the roof of the neighbour's house as a protective measure.
Fire crews remained on scene Monday evening to put out hot spots. No cause or damage estimate yet.
