Fernande Jarbeau of Field is celebrating after winning a $50,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD.
A mother of four, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother to 20, she has been playing the lottery with OLG for more than 20 years.
She enjoys playing INSTANT games such as CROSSWORD and BINGO.
Jarbeau says she is thrilled to share the news of her first big win.
“I discovered I won when I scanned my ticket at the store. I cried, screamed with joy, and cried some more,” she chuckled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I just couldn’t believe I had won!”
“I shared the good news with my children, and they were all so happy for me,” Fernande smiled. “It feels great to win. I hope this isn’t my last one! I want to win again; this is fun!” she said.
She plans to share her winnings with her children and to treat herself to something nice.
The winning ticket was purchased at Riverview Market on Desjardins Street in Field.
