Fall fair time again in Powassan

Powassan's 109th annual fall fair is underway this weekend, and this year's theme for the parade was Alice in Wonderland.

Local dignitaries participated in the farmer's wife competition, which proved to be a challenge for a few of the participants.

Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Anthony Rota came in first, Powassan Mayor Bob Young Mayor was second, and third place went to Mac Bain, a North Bay city councilor.

Music was provided by the Gibbing's Family Band, and the Heavy Horse Pull was one of the activities at a full fair grounds.
