Work to extend water sewer services on Pinewood Park Drive from Decaire Road to the Cascades Casino development is expected to get underway this week.
The project, which also includes the reconstruction of the roadway and the addition of a left-turn lane into the casino development, is expected to be completed by November.
A detour around the construction area will be established at Cooks Creek and traffic will be reduced to one lane with temporary signals for approximately a month. Drivers can expect delays and changes in traffic movement and a load restriction will be implemented due to the age and condition of the former railway bridge that will be used for the detour.
Pinewood Park Drive is expected to be temporarily closed to through traffic for up to four days in early August as part of this project.
Traffic will be detoured at that time via Highway 11.
